I`ve just started fitting bigger drums to the front,fitted backplates,new shoes,new wheel cylinders,but the old drum is stuck to the hub(I took the whole lot off the car) , it is supposed to seperate is`nt it
sorry not trying to make you sound daft , i only figured this only after a few wacks with a hammer when i first got mine , you need to take the wheel bearing out , to slide the drum off the spindle
I`ve been braying the damn thing for ages, using a block of wood against the hub, then direct hammer blows to the face in between the studs on the drum,not budging
Assuming the drum is separate from the hub, you might find the wheel studs are holding it tight, knocking them out might do it. The other method I use to separate them, is hold it square about 3 feet above a flat concrete floor, outer wheel bearing side down, and drop it. This has a sort of slide hammer effect and the drum will fall off after a few goes. Brutal but sometimes it's the only way.
I have undone the bearing nut & the whole assembly is off the car,my 11" drums have`nt got hubs so I pressume the old hub/drum will seperate or are 11" drum/hubs different from 10"
see if they are manual adjusting drums , have a look at the back on the for two oval shaped slots covered by rubber plugs /grommets , behind one of them , you will see a adjusting wheel star shaped sort of thing , use a flat bladed screwdriver , to turn the adjusting wheel , to close up the shoes inside the drum , while using another screw driver leaver the spring out the way a little , through the other hole under the grommet/plug

I'm sure the 10" are not meant to separate(been through this before with Wills fury ) As Blue says,they will come apart with brutality and the risk of distorting the stud flange.
