Well as a lot of you may have already guessed I have got a new motor. I could not face cutting up the Barra and with my shares taking a big tumble in the USA, causing the work that I had planned to be put back even further. So when I saw this I went for it and sold the Barra to release up some funds. As the car has no engine and box I have a bit of a blank sheet. The car was delivered on saturday by John :) . Now the Barra only just fitted in the garage so I knew it would be tight but I was not expecting to have to remove the front and rear bumpers and the trunk lid to get it in:cry: , hey ho I always wanted a longer garage :D not that I can go too far back as the fish pond is only five foot behind it, so about four feet will have to do. It a sectional garage so it should not be too much hassle.

I dont think that I have seen an unrestored car looking as clean underneath as this its mint and shows the quality of the cars Dave Madders brings in.

I started work today on cutting out the roll cage in the car as it is not my liking and have called Hausers to arrange getting a 10 point cage fitted, I must remember to call Dale and get a bonnet ordered as well as start a hunt for a complete motor or block to start a build.
It will be ready when its ready So dont rush me, but I will be working to get it finished ready for next years Nats.

I will post more pictures as soon as I find my damn camera :oops:

aint you gunna miss the barra' .

how come the rear windows and that are different to a normal two door hard top???

Yes I will miss the Barra :cry: but must move on and put my past behind me.

The reason the rear windows look different is because its a post car..

Good look with the new car Guy,makes more sense than cutting the barracuda,and probabley a lot lighter

That is a really nice car which I fancied like hell just as it came when Dave Madders had it up for sale.
I would have liked to have made a cool street sleeper with it so initially I was a little upset that it was going to be cut up so drastically.

But when I saw the result of Johns hard work I could not help be be impressed. That is one seriously cool and good looking car now. :thumbright:

Good luck with this Guy. I can't wait to see it. And Bags Me the first lift up the pit lane in it. :D

I had a close look at this car, when Dave brought it in and knew it was a good one.

I popped round Guy's at the weekend, have to say the car is super straight underneath and a great blank canvas for Guy to start with.

Perhaps now the cage is out I can get in and out of it :D

If you are redoing the cage take a look at how the front section of this car has been done,
