yes but not on a mopar on a VW van (similar issues with clearance on the wheel arch

just got some made up by a man with a lathe and a drill press

i wanted my wide 5 split screen van wheels on the 4 on a small pdc i had because i'd swapped to porche/late van rear end and late van disks at the front

Inch and a half fat so the head of the nut holding it onto hub could be recessed back far enough

then used wheel bolts rather than studs into the adaptor. i used a plastic (nut ring???? oooer) ring like buses a lorries used to keep track of any turning of the bolt heads...i didn't need to worry

i was lucky because the wheels that went on had spaces in the back so as long as i allways put them on the right way none of the adaptor to hub bolts got in the way

obviously wider track and the fact it was lowerd 6 inches made it a pain to take off the wheel when i had to unless i let down the tyre completely

oh the madness of youth

never lost a wheel never had to do anything up again and never had any issues.

however you will wear out wheel bearings quicker and your steering gets heavier which must give a bit more grief to the steering box. and your shocks and suspension have to work harder. i had no suspsension and what can only be termed as high profile comercial van tyres. so crap ride to start with hnce no difference

the wider track on the already top heavy van meant i could waltz around tescos car park on frosty nights without fear or it rolling :)

Yeah i did have a set all round i bought from summit, seemed to be ok but i would imagine they would put a fair bit of extra strain on wheelbearings if used for a long time, i've went back to my 4" slots for just now, i'll give you first chance on my slot mags once i change to 4.5" if you like.
