When pulling away with the O/D on (red light illuminated), the green light comes on around 10 MPH , both lights go off , then red followed by Green will come on & go off , repeating this all the time.
Goes into O/D everytime the green light flashes.
Gonna put the Pit back to stock.
Dave Rob , are you out there?................................................................

Adam mate that doesn't sound like gear vendors that sounds more like a set of traffic lights you've got in there !!!
Rich...
I've got a question Brutus, does the G/V unit work only with a full auto box, i.e in drive and then it does its stuff, or can this system be used in a manaul reverse box?
probably a daft question,
The GV unit is just an extra gear stuck on the end of the tailshaft. It engages with 12v. There is nothing clever about the unit itself.
When off the output is the same ratio as the input. When on the output speed is faster.
It does not "know" what type of gearbox it is attached to.
However, dependant on your GV options, the electronics sense road speed and in some cases rpm as well. It can be clever enough to know what is going on and engage the OD unit automatically.
But the type of valve body in the trans is not an issue.
Ah very good thanks for that, is anyone in the club running one of these with a manual reverse pattern? does it make a big difference when switched on?
Are they worth the money?
i only run manual reverse pattern, i only go over the line in 2nd with od on, does it make any difference ? it dependence on you engine, your rear diff & want you want to do, pure race ? no, change the rear diff race/road ? yes lower rpm motorway

Don't really need the control box , but worried i might forget to turn the overdrive off when selecting reverse , happened whilst waiting for the replacement box , don't sound very good either , crash , grate , bang , slip.
The coupe will go up the strip, but most of the year work permiting it'll be on the road, it might of been Dave that posted saying you can run 410's on the strip, and the G/V to make the gas go further on the street.
