Hi-Po manifolds for B/RB blocks - are they all the same or are the all different?

I heard some are better than others but Moparland is full of myths and old wifes tales. Also is there a different manifold for the C body, I have heard "yes" and "no"

fraid they are different Alistair. Typical example are the exahust manifolds on the 68 440 and the 70 440 (69 being the transitional year has mixtures. On the latter, the runners sweep up and back down to the collector. On the former, the runners are flat (i.e. parallel to the head. They are different again when you start talking pre-68. 413 and 426 wedgies had some nice cast manifolds and yes, there are performance differences (according to road testers of the day). There are also the changes that were made to the latter RB's for environmental (but pre-smogger) exhaust manifolds.

Can be more specific but are you asking about any casting number in particular? If so, let me know the number and I will dig out the detail. I will check up the parts interchangeabillity for C bodies too.

Oh, sorry just to add thats not to say only one type of manifold was available each year. I have a few sets now and they are different casting numbers with same casting dates all for RB lumps.
