Slow upshift

Just fitted a new shift cable,but now dont know if im just imagening it but it seems to hold on to the gears longer before upshifting in auto position.seems to shift up manually ok when giving it some, slower when taking it easy . all gears in correct position so I dont think its anything to do with cable adjustment. any clues ?

check you have not got the shifter catching the linkage from the carb down to the box its fitted just above the selector

Thats the first thing i thought of dunc, seems ok ,but I will double check it today if I get a chance to get it on a ramp, cheers
