Make one out of a piece of welding rod, mine have lasted 10years, but I did have the plastic gizmo it clipped into

Easy to make one,there should be a pattern in the other door.
Old bicycle mudguard stays,motor bike spokes or high tensile fence wire will all do the job.

Are we all sure that he dont mean, the thicker steeal bar that goes from the outer door handle to the latch?
Still easy to make something for it id of thought.
