Hi all, been away for a while, just had a baby girl and they take up loads of time!!! anyway, pulled the charger from storage today and took it out for a good spin, 25 miles or so, when i got back i did your usual checks and noticed that the tranny oil was darker than it was. The tranny is working great, shifts good and firm with no noticeable slipping, the oil is clear and not smelling burnt either, just discoloured. it was rebuilt about 3000 miles ago and had a oil change about 700 miles ago with dexron III oil.
Am I worring over nothing or is there a potential underling problem?
will the tranny oil go this colour when becoming used and is normal?
Do you think it would be a good idea to drop the oil and filter again?
I put some used oil from the tranny on a white background on the right in the pic and some fresh from the same can on the left.
thanks for your advice
Cheers
Sean
