3" lowering blocks for 69 Charger rear suspension

Car sits too high, can either put sandbags in the back or get some lowering blocks.

Any ideas where to go?

If you put sandbags in, your car will land just right after jumping those creeks when the bridge is out

But I'm going the blocks route. Can't see that it will cause much issue.

Will it not settle when its all back together?
if you've fitted new shocks and / or springs it'll lift a bit anyway until everything settles a bit and its been used a few times.
As it is, theres no other weight apart from the shell, on top of all this you still need to get the height set up when its all back together. I'd leave it for a couple weeks when its all done and driveable, see what its like then. You can always lower it a bit if you not happy with it then

I thought the same when mine went back with all new rear suspension but it soon went down after it was filled up with gas and sat on the ground for a week or two

Let it settle for a month or two. If it is still too high you can get some of the camber in the spring taken out. Much better than lowering blocks. There used to be a spring place next to the old Fed Brewery that does leaf springs. Got mine made there.

I trust that the spring eye and shackle bolts wern't tightened until the car was on it's wheels? Assemble loose,put car on the ground,add half a tank of gas and the spare wheel,bounce rear end a few times then tighten bolts.

You can get front hangers with different holes in, so using the top hole gives a lower ride height, I have them on mine, but mine are longer ones for superstock springs

You can also flip the front hangers round to lower it.

Tried that one Adam, bolt holes need drilling and you need to reset yer pinion angle

Same would apply with lowering blocks.
