260ci ~ 318ci gear,box

hi all after some advise
ime getting a 318 rebuilt to drop into my 1955 savoy its a factory
260 polyhead v8 with a three speed manual box and was wondering if my 318 will bolt up with the 260 flywheel and clutch of will i have to use the 904 i have in stock

I know that the 318 poly has the same bolt patern, crank and flex plate as the latter 318 and I think that the early hemis bolt up to the later small block 727s. I know that the 318 poly that I had used a small block 727
