Stumbled across a cool job ad today

While rummaging through a local paper I found a job ad for a local historic racing team mechanic. So I applied, talking to the guy on the phone laying it on real thick about how I have a knackered Lotus I am restoring (thinking they would be involved with old Lotus's, Jags, Anglia's, Minis and the like) to get the response "All we really deal with is American small block stuff".

How cool is that. So I explained to him that I have just rebuilt the motor in mine with a few tweaks added and I have a formal interview next week.

Yeah mate, I hope I get it

. I still cant believe its doing V8 racers. I was happy when I thought it was old English stuff. I had a good old natter with the guy too and he seemed quite impressed with what I had done and the spec of my motor.
