It's the Winter Blue's! Get your Wife to buy you a nice car cover for the Barracuda. I've got one of those Noah ones and its bloody good!!

Custom fit, had a look under mine today and the Barracuda is sitting all nice and dry!

Chin up, Mate. It happens periodically, even with a warm place to work!

Before we got the Barracuda into shelter, it used to live on Gareths drive out in the elements and we suffered all the same problems, pretty much. Plus the joy of the kids from a couple of houses down scraping their handlebars down the side of it.

Don't worry about the carpets, that will only be on the surface. If you can get the windows down a bit to let the air circulate, or take it for a drive, that will help a bit, but a good brush over the surface and a hhover out will help too.

Can you use a car cover where you are, or is that not possible?

I bet I can guess every place the water is coming in, too.

That kit we spoke about for the wiper bushes is a cheap fix for the front end leak and a solid run at it on a Saturday or Sunday will see it done.

Best thing is to pump that tyre up and take it for a drive, that'll remind you why you love it so much and put a big grin on yer face!

Winters can easily get you like this... Keep yer pecker up and come on here as often as you can for help and advice, it'll keep you sane!

If it helps, I knew absoutely jack S about mechanics when we bought the Fish. I'd always loved yank cars and had been going to the racing for donkey's years, but fixing 'em? Nah, nowt! So definitely bit off more than I could chew. Good job Gareth knew more than I did! But look at me now!!!

Still no idea, but I'm getting there!

A willingness to get stuck in goes a long way and the rewards are totally worth it.

A few years back, you wouldn't have thought I'd ever get under a car, just in the driving seat, but it's amazing what biting off more than you can chew can teach you.

I have owned cars for nearly 30 years and only had a garage to work in for a few years.

The main thing is to get a home with at least a driveway so you can work on the car off the street.

The next thing is to get a good car cover to keep the rain out.

Buying a good car in the first place makes things a lot easier you know?

But it is hard. I know all about that. So do many others. You are not alone.

why do you think all mopars have a certain interior smell, i bet even cliveys charger will have the smell n that has been acid dipped,
try drivin it in our winter weather its a real thrill,

but dont let it get ya down matey, could be worse you could have a push bike

Or have a squint here LINK, only a starting place, but worth a look. I believe ours was actually for a big Merc, but Gareth got it, so I'm sure he'll have more info. Or pick up a copy of CC or Any classic yank type mag, they'll have adverts a plenty.

Jeff on here has a link to the site He and I bought our's from. I had a look back but the thread in the Wanted section has been culled.

For a nice Custom fitted one like mine you'll be about £200, but believe me, its well worth the dosh!
