Welcome to The Vintage Paint Company

Post by TyreFryer »

Welcome to Our First Newsletter

Welcome to the first of Vintage Paint's email newsletters. We want to build a community of like minded individuals who are as passionate about restoration as we are about paint.

In this newsletter you can read about our new premises and contact details, the range of products we now stock and new web developments on the way.

The founder of the The Vintage Paint Company, Melanie Pursglove, calls on a family background in the paint industry. Her father founded Eagle Industrial Paints Ltd, major suppliers to the agricultural machinery industry. So, born with the smell of paint in her nostrils, Melanie can truly claim to be “passionate about paint”, and has spent time collecting and collating an extensive library of historical colour data for a whole range of historical vehicles.

Vintage Paint on the Move

We're very excited about Vintage Paint's new home in the Four Ashes Enterprise Centre in Wolverhampton.

This new showroom allows us to put more paint ranges on display and indulge in our passion for paints to cover all manner of uses. We're very pleased to have taken on the Little Greene range of top quality English heritage decorative paints and we'll be telling you more about them in our next newsletter.

This is a great new base for us to give you all the paint and services you require. For example customers can now drop in parts and leave them with us while we investigate the original paint in order to colour match it.

Our colour matching service is extensive and thorough. We can match individual colours and source original colour detail and data wherever possible for complete authenticity. We can then offer those colours in many different product formats, from traditional cellulose right through to the most sophisticated 2 pack and water based materials.

You can of course still buy products from us by mail order or through our ebay shop http://stores.ebay.co.uk/The-Vintage-Paint-Company-Ltd

New Contact Details

Another customer benefit of the move is that we have discontinued the use of our 0870 number. These national rate numbers were a boon to businesses in the past because they could keep the same number when they moved which was a real customer benefit.

Unfortunately modern telephone calling plans often do not include 0870 and 0845 numbers so they have become more expensive for customers to call, and they cost us money too.

You can now call us on +44 (0)1902 843444 for paint supplies and quality technical support. The number for the showroom is 01902 798292 and you can also email us on mail@vintagepaint.com

It's Not Just Paint

The Vintage Paint Company covers the whole range of painting supplies and paraphernalia, not just the paint itself.

Everything that you might need to take an old but serviceable part and return it to it's previous glory can be obtained from us, it's all under one roof. Starting with rust removers and degreasers we take you though the process with dust and static removers, then primers and on to the final finish. We have the spray guns and other application tools, even mixing sticks, in fact everything you need to take your pride and joy from barn find to best in show.

Web Developments

We are currently working hard on www.vintagepaint.com so that customers will be able to select products and order through the site using credit cards.

This involves a big upgrade to the site and until it is ready you can still buy through the Ebay shop (http://stores.ebay.co.uk/The-Vintage-Paint-Company-Ltd) or by phoning directly with card details.

We are also developing our sister site www.perfectrestoration.com which will be a valuable resource for the restoration community. Here you will be able to find information about events, suppliers, in fact anything of interest to you.
