Ray of light for Chrysler

I think they are talking brave but they can't go on as they are. A Nissan/Renault tie-up may be their best bet, although its really Jeep they want. But their product plans are intertwined already - if Chrysler go under then Nissan don't have their next truck, and they lose a lot of Chrysler volume for their carlines.
R/N have already made it clear they won't want to part with any money though!
On the other hand, Magna would also suffer badly if Chrysler went under - and they were one of the original bidders on Chrysler.
So either could help - but Chryslers product cupboard is pretty bare compared to Ford/GM. It's touch and go for them right now.
BTW, part of it may just be rhetoric to not jeopardise the forthcoming government loans.....
