HP has got nothing with it..............it all depends how big your b............... are. When your car steps out or it lights the tyres the 1/8 mile doing 110 -117 mph

............... Will you stay on it or get off it only you will no.

2 clamps on the front section of each spring will be enough, spacing is dictated by where the leaves end, you want to clamp as many of the leaves together as you can to make it more rigid. Sliders allow more spring travel that a shackle, and have the added benefit of reducing side to side sway, which is handy if it gets out of shape. Shocks, now there's a can of worms. Most important thing is that they are long enough. With the body supported on stands and the axle hanging free, you should be able to pull the shock off the lower mount and still have some more extension left in the shock. The Comp Engineering shocks don't have a very good reputation, personally I've had no problems with them. Rancho's seem to have a good following for a "budget" shock. Some guys say you can't get a high horsepower leaf spring car to hook consistantly without quality double adjustable shocks, others say it's tosh
I think run what you have and see what happens. What shocks do you have on the front?

Give it a go Pete; I have opted for the same, but have added Clatracs to limit body roll. Time will tell if it is a viable approach.

There is a lot of information in the MP Chassis manual about the rear springs and shocks.

pete i have a copy of the mopar performance chasis manual, but only chapter 9 REAR SUSPENSION,if it will help let me know and i will email it to you.

I plan on leaving the line at around 4500 to 5000 so tuning the rear springs will be critical for good sixty foot .Any help will be nice
