Transmision overhaul kits

Post by Lance »

I intend to overhaul the 904 trans in my 68 Dart, anybody got any advice on where to get a kit from and how much it would roughly cost, I think it was Dave Bishop who told me about a company near Heathrow dealing in these kits but any advice would be helpful.

Blue uses B&M rebuild kits, that's what he recommended to me. I rebuilt the 727 in my Satellite with one. Very good kits, look on Summit, JEGS, Mancinni etc.

spoke to a bloke at vanmatic (so they are still trading Dave) says he can do a complete overhaul kit for £180 delivered, considering the exchange rate and all that doesn't sound to bad deal to me, but i would appreciate the opinions of Blue and Duncan on this please.

just received my overhaul kit from vanmatic includes double wrap bands, all seals, clutch plates friction and steels, £181 delivered,
dealt with a Bloke called Steve, real helpful, also said he could do a complete overhaul kit for 727 £108 plus the dreaded VAT.
