Gigs....

Post by RobTwin »

More upcoming  :D

Ordered some tickets earlier this week to see Robin Trower, Jack Bruce & Gary Husband play Shephers Bush Empire in August :thumbright:

Seen Robin Trower 2 or 3 times in recent years but never seen Jack Bruce, and hadnt even heard of Gary Husband. Supposedly a s-hot drummer who used to be in Level 42 amongst others

And tonite Stu phoned to tell me about a band Nicky Horne mentioned on Planet Rock - Chickenfoot ??!! :?

Seen the name recently but didnt look into who they were...
New project by Joe Satriani, Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony & Chad Smith. Could be interesting? Took a chance & ordered tickets for them too

Could be a busy, if skint, summer 8-)

If you have to ask, you wouldnt understand! :stummin:

But if you mean these guys; Joe Satriani (solo artist, guitar), Sammy Hagar (solo artist & ex-Van Halen vocals & guitar), Michael Anthony (Van Halen, bass) & Chad Smith (Red Hot Chilli Peppers, drums)

Seeing Gary Moore and George Thoroughgood in April.

Also seeing BB King, the Eagles and Lynrd Skynrd this year.

Rounding off the season with Deep Purple, AC/DC and then Motorhead as usual....almost as loud as a Mopar on open-headers

Can't stand Robin Trower. Good guitarist yes. But endless introverted selfish pointless solos that go on forever and ever.
I was sat right in front of him once and spent the whole evening terrified his false teeth were going to fall into my lap he was gurning so much with every long note.
The best bits were when someone actually got to sing some lyrics.
