425 hp ......................... but ain`t a Mopar

Post by Jon Connolly »

Always wanted one of these since I was a kid. Passed my hgv recently ( kept quiet in case I didn`t ) so I bought one, should be here in August.

Kenworth W900 liberty edition ( limited edition, leather seats, ceiling and door cards, different grill etc )
425 hp Caterpillar diesel
13 speed transmission
Alcoa alloy wheels

Classic car insurance, private hgv road tax, 25 years old so no sva .... doesn`t get better than that

:D

=P~ =P~ =P~

Love that to bits, I have always fancied a truck as a toy, and that ticks all the boxes. Practicality is a problem but wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 8-) 8-)

Please bring it to the Nats so I can have a sit in it and pretend to be Rubber Duck (Ok I know that was a Mack but you see where I'm coming from).

Jon, you're like a big kid you are!

Brilliant, that's gonna be some fun, especially on those narrow Norfolk lanes. ;)

Ivor ... Yeah my wife was saying something along those lines.

Matt ... when I get it I`ll take you out in it.

Pete ... I hope it`s got front brakes. I`m not mad I`ve just decided I`m not giving any more money to pension fund managers to sp##k up the wall on my behalf .... I`m quite capable of doing that myself.

Andy

As far as I can see people try and skirt around the sva regs by registering them in paces like Czech republic, Poland etc ... countries that may not enforce sva regs as tightly as UK. Once they have reg`d them in an E.U. country they can use them legally throughout the E.U.

If the truck is 25 years old, or, older it can come in under a historic scheme whereby there is no sva. ( there is no way a yank tractor unit would get through an sva ).

It will have to pass an m.o.t. like any other 25 year old imported car i.e. brakes / seatbelts / tyres / lights etc, ... but emissions, tacho, speed limiter are not necessary.

If you are interested email me your details and I can give you the dealer`s details and £££`s
