Ok I went to connect the vac pipe that goes to my brakes onto the intake manifold and it wouldn't go on.
After a proper look there was a much metal smaller vac tube coming out of the hex bit which had been bent upwards which was stopping me putting the hose on.
I went to bend it down a bit and it snapped off.
What is this smaller vac tube for?
I think it connects to a thin pipe that goes through the bulk heads.
Can i just put a little screw in it to seal off the intake?
If its vac for the headlight covers then it wont matter for now.

could be the heater control pipe if your car has air con

if the heater control says airtemp on the front in itallic script

then you have a vaccum control for your heater aircon box

this thin pipe will be black and will go through the bulkhead on the drivers side of the car and join with many red and white pipes at a black rubber connector clamped to the back of the heater control .

It should see manifold vaccum rather than vaccum from a take off on the carb .
