Got the Chally out due to the weather forecast and found it is making a clicking sort of noise when in gear more in reverse. Drives ok at first I thought it was the converter guard plate bent and being hit by the converter its that sor tof noise. Any ideas guys?

It could be internal convertor problems or the pump. Most other faults are normally only heard while on the move.

Crank thrust bearings worn allowing crank to walk backward and forward?? See if you can shove the crank in and out by the bottom pulley.... that would give a click/knock that comes and goes as the converter bolts touch and them back off.
