I thought you might like to see a couple of pics from my trip last week. 3 days at the track and 4 at the strip. Knackering but well worth it.

Nice! I'm seriously looking at trying to get the spring meet in as well as Mopars at the strip.

How did you find the track? How busy was it and is the viewing distance from the track an issue,
I think you picked the meet that had more oildowns than in any on record!!!

Hi Gav,

The track was mint and setting records. we were in row L at the top which is about the 330 ft mark and a pretty good place. Rows A - K were rammed on Sunday but pretty quiet Fri & Sat. Evidently, rows A - C tend to be on a season ticket type deal.

You're right about the oil downs though, all without exception caused by fuelers but they entertain the crowd whilst they prep the track and aplogised saying the tickets were good for the following weekend (imagine that over here).

They also prepped the track before every pro classs ran and when the fuel cars ran, there were 50 or so people walking the whole track looking for imperfections to dial into their clutch set ups. Different world.

The upside to the down time was that the meeting ran on into the night and seeing fuelers run at night was awesome.
