unfortunately lost the thread but here is an update. the 9" fraud axle is now in place, been a long time coming. i have a new lease of life now
heres a couple of pics of todays progress

i have another one, started to work it then found out it wasnt right for what i was doing, ive spent more on second hand cases than would have done if id bought new
what do you need

Nothin fancy, something not massively narrowed that would sit on leaf's in stock position, ideally with a pair of 28 spline shafts. Had to let the last one go with the E (was too narrow anyway....)

had a good wweekend , the axle is now located in all directions (i forgot to weld the X locator brackets on) heres a few pics of it now, also had a result with the 400 i bought, although it was full of water it is on standard bore so perfect for a big cube B motor.

a bit more progress, spent all weekend designing and making the front motor plate, just the mid plate to sort and i can mount the motor. still some work to be done, it will hold the alternator, coil, fuel regulator etc before its finished. and before anyone points out the obvious problem, i intend to make my own oil pump cover plate with pipes exiting sideways

Are you going to get the frame dipped and treated or even fine bead blasted and powder coated?

when its finaly complete the frame will be blasted, and painted as a patina frame dosnt look too good (probably lime green or pink, depends what colour the body goes
)

I would add a type of sadle mount for the motor plate & the mid plate, this will help for ease of engine installation.
Only needs to be made out of 5/16" or 3/8th steel tubing, dont have a phot on this PC, but can send you one next week
