I'm doing mine next, all being well.

This is a mint 67 Charger, totally rust free, unlike mine and lots of others I've had the pleasure to work on LOL!

That's right.
Mopar never painted the underside of the cars. Just dark grey primer with overspray from the top side paint.

Right or wrong,the more coats of paint underneath in our climate has got to be better. Perhaps finish in satin grey topcoat?

I had 2 pack stone chip put on mine. Stuff originallity, it wants to last. The new owner will thank me for it (unless they like the onset of corrosion). A pointless route to go down if you are gonna 'use' the car IMHO.

yep thats true Clivey as nice as it looks & factory appearing , no good if your going to use the car as it should on our roads !! started going down the same route when i done mine !! i mixed up a dark gray 2k formula from the colour map book , that looked close enough , & put 70% matting additive in it , thumped 4 coats on , then coped the factory type over spray ! then a few months later !! decided , with our climate , & was not really looking stock anymore with chassis conectors & torque boxes , plus i sealed up all the seams on the under side , to stop any damp moisture ! sprayed the whole underside in dark gray stone chip , & over sprayed it with yellow , & black stone chip in the wheel arches following the factory pattern loosly

It makes sense.The people who built these cars weren't known for their quality or attention to detail. Seeing a survivor like that is cool. Replicating it? WTF!!!!

Unless you ordered underseal as well.

Don't forget the idea was you disregard the cars after 3 to 5 years and buy another.

If they made them to last they would be out of business

thats true TM is a amazing thses cars have survived this long ,

Mine has a paint run in the boot just below the boot latch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! is that "FACTORY".........................( I see the "MOPAR ANORACS"are still alive and well).

Well said CLIVEY if you`re restoring a car, make it better than factory,and do it properly!!!!
