I brought a old Bendix servo off e-bay the other day and it was sold with a air leak. I brought it because it had the check valve on it and I wanted to see if it was possible to strip i and repair it.
I paid £25 for it so I don't have much to loose.
I stripped it today and it turned out to be very simple to dismantle, once you pry the four section of outer housing back you simple twist the top and bottom of the servo and it pops apart.
I noticed that one area of the rubber diaphragm had popped out of its groove which is what I think was causing the air leak so if I find nothing else wrong I will re-assemble the servo and paint it.
I thought I would post this as I am sure there are plenty of these servos in need of repair and this shows that you can do it yourself and not ship it back to the States.

It might end up on your car but you will have to swap it for you and then I can repair your and sell that on.
Paul500 if you want me to pop round and show you how to dismantle yours let me know,I'm sure you will have no problem as it is very simple.
