paddy dont Bananarama! about put 8 pints down its throat, (filler tube) fire the mtr select shifter through all positions dont rev mtr, turn off put another 2 pints down its throat fire mtr, select gears again dont rev mtr, have some one sittin in the car covering the brake and now keep adding fluid a pint at a time till the fluid is on the bottom mark get your co driver to keep select in gears till drive comes in under its own steam, then go for a short roadtest no gunnin it bring it back recheck level in position N running middle for diddle of the two marks hot,
it will expand to the full hot mark when its really hot, this thing will hold nr on 2 gallons matey
go nail that sum bitch :D

Reminds me I put 4 US quarts(think thats about 6 1/2 English pints)as advised by a major parts supplier, Dexron II in mine after changing filter .Might explain why it wont hook up and go.Looked about right on the stick as I remember, checked after running.
Hope I havent cooked it,done about 50 miles. :help:
Looking in the handbook Torqueflite "6" 16 pts US and "8" 18 1/2 pts.Oops

you wont be far off matey if all you have done is the oil/filter the majority of fluid is held in the converter they can hold 8 pints alone

but you have to dip them running hot in neautral

good luck,,,,,,,,,,,,, WATTS RACING TRANSMISSIONS ;) :D
