Axle identification help
I got a Dodge van based motorhome in the yard I got for its 440, but its got a Dana axle, I've looked up the web for i.d. info but i still can't quite decide what it is. Got a tag on the bottom right cover bolt which is supposed to be an lsd lube tag, but I can't see anything else in the way of numbers. I always thought these axles had the model no.,60,70 etc on the right hand of the case at about 5 o'clock, on the triangular pad under the axle tube, but can't seea thing. Any ideas?

What year is it Ad?
My truck is 1985 and has a Dana 60 axle but it has 8 bolt axles and is not offset as per the cars.
Here is a god link which might help.

Well the stud pattern is almost certainly 6 or 8 stud cos its got twin wheels, does that mean even the diff is useless? I need to check it. Shame if so, too heavy for my Challenger, but some one here could get some good out of it. I just hate chucking good bits away!!!!!!!
