Team Fuel

Post by Alistair »

Many moons ago (maybe a dozen years ago) there were two black Dodge Challengers doing the rounds of the shows - they were sound off cars. They were packed full of amps and subs. I remember seeing them at the Donny Show. One of them had so much "stuff" in it that it was always hooked up to the mains, or a generator or something. They used to put 10p pieces on the roof and flip them with the bass.

I wondered what ever became of them.

Team Fuel progressed onto a Dodge Ram van and now seem to be into Bentleys and exotics which they do Gumball 3000 in.

My Google-fu is weak on the topic,

I wondered if the Challys got restored, or maybe they lie in a dusty warehouse somewhere still all full of stereo stuff.

Anyone know what I'm talking about even!?

I remember seeing the cars in a magazine. No idea where they are now, perhaps Dave Robbo can shed some light ?

The Dodge Ram they built had an "orgasm seat" in the back, like a big weird throne.

As I recall the "special note" is 33Hz.... :D

I remember about the same time there was a 1972 or so Ford Torino built the same sort of way, the speakers came up out of the boot on hydraulic rams.

All good fun!

Remember them at the Pod having a sound off on the start line!

Each to their own, not everyones Cup'o' tea!
