Rear Axle bearing

Post by Anonymous »

OK Now my axle is bleeding :( now I've read so posts and I see that you can get modifed or different bearings Greens or moggy 1000 fronts

But what happens to the inner seals

and the outer threaded adjusters

And where do I get the retainer rings if I source the moggy bearings

Or should I just get the original roller type from the USA

Thanks

green bearings are low rolling resistance ball bearings

original are cone rollers or rollers

I'd stick with original types as they are designed to go round corners...

someone somewhere at dana spicer BorgWarner etc decided 60 years ago that ball bearings were no good and rollers should be used on axles retained by a collar at the end and nothing in the centre...

I trust that man cos i drive on the street.

plenty use green bearings for all applications but i'd rather just stick with what the designer had in mind

i.e trouble free long life good for 100K
