Colorado Mopar show

Post by drewcrane »

Well after the Pod show i dont think I will look at car shows the same again.

This type of show is in a car park so no racing and no burnouts :?

And there is no pub there fore no beer :Absynth:

And there is no live band :stummin:

I really miss the Pod probably the best show I have been to,

The spectators , the participants just good all around ,there is a buzz to the place............but here are a few from todays show I tried to find a good mix of cars considering that most of yall like the big Mopars

and there is another show at the track put on by a different club in 2 weeks I hope I get a little more of the feel I got at the Pod since it is at the drag strip ,I am not saying I didnt have a good time but gosh after what I saw at the Pod, we just dont have alot of people here , some of whom I know are at the BIG Carlisle event, oh well some good stuff anyway, only about 100 cars

I was trying my reflection shots on this(see above charger), car the paint was a perfect black with red metallic flakes subtly in the paint so it didnt look like a bowling ball ,and the car next to it was a pink chally looked cool :D

Thanks Drew 8-)

Yes I've seen this type of show pics from you before - it does look a bit odd having such good quality cars in such a non-descript setting

We get a few meets over here in retail parks, after hours usually, but they tend to be smaller local meets, prob with just about 50 cars max?

Do you get any of those early morning 'coffee & donuts' type shows I've seen on the tv, usually around 6am on a Saturday? From what I've seen they look to be popular over there; bit early for me tho

Yes they do, but not as much fun, compared to the Pod.

I will attend that one to give you guys some sort of perspective,it is more fun that a car park but as mentioned ,no pub, no live music, and really not much music at all

What's the story behind the "Daytona Challenger" Drew, that looks interesting. Do you have any pics with the hood and trunk down?

Is it one of these: http://www.hotrod.com/featuredvehicles/ ... index.html

Yea it is one of those kits,He claims #2 kit,

and they look a bit better in person but still kind of funky looking if you get my drift,,

Pretty expensive I am sure, the guy had way to much bling on it for my taste,(that is why I only took 2 pix)and the quality was good ,but I did see some flaws that I would not tolerate for the cost,

Definitely different :) he did have some time slips and he did a best E.T of 11.5 1/4 and he also ran it in the Texas mile and he said the car was as fast as alot of cars ,He
did set it up for high speeds,in an effort to utilize the aero kit :thumbright:
