Tyrefryers 1964 Dart

I've owned my "1964 Dart" for nearly three years now and today, I finally got started on the build/"restoration". I sold the yellow 68 Satellite I had in order to fund buying the Dart and progress with a car faster than the Satellites 13 dead ET.
The plan was to build a garage in our garden but after trying for a year to sort this out it, due to all the utility mains running under our property it turned out not to be a viable proposition. I spent the next two years trying to find somewhere to keep and work on the car while it was squeezed into a council lockup for the duration. This proved to be harder than I'd hoped, Jem told me how he'd written to a dozen or so farms in his area and found somewhere to keep his Charger so I tried the same thing. I wrote to over 150 farms in the area and had zero success. Over the next two years I came close to selling the car on several occasions until finally this summer I found somewhere that was ideal and only 3 miles from my house! Hurrah!!!
I took over the workshop at the beginning of August and after fixing some leaks in the roof, wire brushing and painting the floor
, fitting some security and a weeks family holiday, I hired a trailer yesterday morning and moved the car in. In the afternoon I shot over to Ivor's and we went and collected his 65 Barracuda with the help of Josh my youngest son, which is now nice and snug in the space his Austin Chummy used to occupy.
So today I spent some real quality time starting to strip and inspect the car I've had for quite a while (and started to think I wasn't supposed to). I'm hoping to have the car ready for the NATs next year, it's going to be a learning curve for me and I'll try and keep the thread up to date with my progress.
I'll post up the specs of what it is shortly. Cheers!
