Funny game this, I had trouble attracting interest in my 70 R/T 383 # matching Chally in very nice order @ £17,995 in Dec/Jan this year ..............I now follow the philosophy that people actually belive that "the more you pay, the better the car" load of cobblers theory

Agreed with you there Mark, there is no doubting that this is a very nice car, I remember Pete importing it together with some other quality Mopes

For the record, I'm no way knocking the car, I just don't get the crazy prices asked nowadays

Its on par with what a car of this caliber would fetch here in Norway. So I guess like many others it will either end up on the continent or Scandinavia.

Man that is stunning car ,WOW what a looker

Being a true 440 car makes it pretty rare 1886 cars built that way,
(just over 2000 total)

I know they built more 383 cars, (12,,281) I have one (AND PUT A 440 IN IT) and have seen them around for sale with the original 383, and they just don't bring the money that a true 440 car brings ,

and to put a 440 in a car sometimes brings more money .................,some times not all the time ,.

By "not that long ago" you mean 3-4-5 years back when the job was on fire and we weren't in the worst recession known to mankind etc etc etc ...........yes, my price would have been around £27k .................BUT THIS IS NOW, NOT THEN FFS ...................

i dont think the market has anything to do with pricing, its believing in your product and not needing to sell rapidly and finding that 1 punter that will pay the silly high price,
no disrespect intended at all budge you had and have that philosophy you dont get put off when a punter walks you have the faith to think there will be another mug/erm punter round the corner i dont think the prices off the cars have been justified but that can apply to all sorts off nostagia objects they will sell at whatever someone is willing to pay for them

Got to be worth that money all day though IMO

Some will pay that for a MK1 cortina and escorts..
i know what i would rather have,
...its the fuel, and size of the car i think...many guys i work with always say to me, id love a big Yank muscle car like yours, but where do you put it and where do you get bits and how much fuel does it drink.
They can afford one, but they seem to be the limiting factors on buying one.
I mean my Cuda just about sneaks into my present garage with literally 1/2" either side, then i cant get out of it

..this may seem petty but it adds to the pain, sometimes i dont want to get the car out through fear of scratching or denting it....its a 2 man job
