SBP Wheel info required........

Hey guy's looking for some help/assistance/info?

I've been browsing for choices on what wheels i eventually want on the car. Having the ole 4" PCD seems to leave very little choice out there, especially in the UK.

My fave at the mo seems to be Mopar original steels, in black with raised letter tyres.



From what i can find on the net they came in 14 x 5.5. I'd like to go 15", but not sure if these were only for BBP?

Obviously i'd love to go BBP and open up wheel choices, but not sure exactly what i need to do......and more importantly what it would cost?

If i'm gonna go BBP then from what i understand i'd need to change parts of the diff.......so i may aswell upgrade the diff to an 8 3/4 etc etc.........This is not something i can afford or justify at the mo, so it seems staying SBP is it for the forseable future!

My other option is to do what Autoholic did and (as i have the original ralley's), get them refurbed and painted black.



TBHI'd rather keep them as is though!

I've found these Pics on the net and love the look of the Dart (on original 14 x 5.5).





So....Does anybody out there have original steels/cop wheels in SBP 14" or even better 15"? I'm just looking at options at the mo as £££ are tight!

I even asked Northants Tyres about Wheel options.
Apparently (or so i've been told) my PCD is obsolete .

Ansen Spints and Magnum 500's can be made to special order, so i'm guessing £££'s.

Please can you give me more info about these adapters. Would i be right in thinking that have a plate that bolt onto the SBP Hubs, and have bolts set at 4.5" PCD to mount BBP wheels too??

Yep they are about 1" thick , you take the wheel off bolt these on with your wheel nuts , then you will need some 1/2 " nuts and you can fit 4.5 wheels to your car , I had them on for years will try to get a pic of them for you

Also if weller wheels have nothing then check out trailer wheels there are all 4 inch pcd a little small but maybe a special trailer tracktor trailer ect

I was going to suggest wheel vintiques as well. Get teh part number you need and order via Summit Racing or similar for the best price.

67-1970 aussie cars used both steels and ROH alloy slots mags
VE VF VG valiant all had 4 inch PCD

in 14 inch mind so get em with tyres

shipping may be an issue but there is a guy who does a container once every few months out of newcastle NSW.

few advertise anything globally


or do what dave did and visit minilite in telford

they may be happy to drill to your size

Minilite will drill any size/number bolt pattern and make any diameter, offset and width up to 10 inch wide and 15 inch diameter. They also do them in a range of colours including black. They are good lads down in Telford there.

Oh and they will diamond cut/polish the outer edge to a high shine if you want (cost extra) which would look really good on a black wheel.
