68 charger headlamps

Post by Anonymous »

my original headlamps in the charger are like fag ends in the mist! and they are still left hand drive units, (how did it pass its mot?)
anyway, are the r/h units available easily in this country? are they standard sealed beams or a special size? or should i upgrade to halogen?, i have already done the relay mod for the wiring so current draw should be o.k.
can i get them at a local factors?

the headlamps in my 68 Charger came from a Cortina MK3!

Thinking about that, I wonder if Capri's would fit...there are plenty of those about.

as you have already put a relay in i would go for the halogen conversion , exactly the same to fit , you get better loght and if a bulb blows its cheaper to replace . you should be able to get these through any motor factor.

Hi Sean
These flat halogen lamps i can do for ?19.00 each, (list price ?42.00 each!) complete with bulbs, the curved ones are same price but do not come with halogen bulbs, and are not H4 fitment. (you can get bulbs for them that are halogen though)

postage on four lamps to you would be ?7.00

The quality is first rate, they are Koito make, OEM on most Jap vehicles. Money back if not delighted.
