Middle of last December I went down to Surrey for a long weekend when that big snow came. I would have been stuck there a week if I hadn't had the Jeep.

That is why i am working hard on it this weekend. I am back in Surrey in two weeks. Fitting new discs and pads as well as axle bearings on Saturday.

It was this weekend when I drove down to Jon Benn's, left his house at 10.30 am and then spent the next eight hours stuck on the A34...lucky I had the 4X4 and managed to take a few short cuts and got home at around 7pm.

I took this last year from my sisters house in Camberly. We were due to drive to my in-laws near Croydon that day but it snowed even more and the M25 came completely to a standstill. So we waited 24 hours before giving it a go.

don't count your chickens yet, this old boy predicts the winter weather every year ... and he's usually right!!

http://menmedia.co.uk/manchesterevening ... manchester

he reckons it's going to be mild until 21 December, then we're in for it!!
