Been looking out for an early post car for a while, and when this came up I had to have it,Image
It was imported early this year by Chris in Sheffield, he's stripped the car and has done an excellent job of putting new floors in, my plans are to resto-mod the car to how I want it, it is a base model car, heater, radio and carpet delete, and was a 318 poly, which is no longer with the car, Chris had all the trim, and it has all bee repaired and polished up lovely, the car is at Craig Elliot's place in Nottingham (red 64 Savoy from the nats this year), Craig is inboarding the springs for me and mini tubbing the car as i intend to run 325/60/15 drag radials on the back, I have bought an A and A crossram which is going on my Indy headed 540, I intend to use this car a lot on the street so have gone back to a .620 roller cam, and I'll be running tti headers not manifolds, this isnt being built period correct. Me and Marc went down there this week and started on the roll cage, havent got that fas as we only had a couple of hours spare but the main hoop is tacked in Image

Possibly keeping the push buttons, just want to get the car done then I may rebuild the box's I have but need a lot of parts, and won't be using fender wells Rob, the inner wings are not getting cut for a few reasons, the main one being I don't like fenderwells

Nice to see the workshop thread alive again

Are you going Radir front and back ? or Radir and painted steelies ?

radir or 12 spokes on the front, then as and when i find a set of 15 in steels (with 10" hub cap) i'll be having the steels banded and ill swap and change between the two

Jerry, how about a nice vintage Winters shifter?

Go this one going spare! The red bit is a flip over reverse lockout.
