Post by Adrian Worman »

Who's the best people to go to for propshaft mods in the Beds, Bucks, Herts area, still Reco Prop in Luton?
I got a fat prop from the motorhome I broke which I want to use on my Challenger when I drop the correct gearbox in ;)

these are really good & not that expensive & have soon right fancy balancing equipment
http://www.vibrationfree.co.uk/

not in the midlands but worth posting down to

after the local experts had the prop off my falocn twice telling me 'yeah is fine' & wasting lots of time looking else where sent my prop to the above who said is knackered
Most prop balance m/c only balance up 3000 rpm whic I was told if its out of balance it would show by 3000 not true ! as I fold out but these can balance to lots more
Complete new 2 piece prop, custom made was about £400

Ta for the replys mates, that balancing place is only at Bicester Andy, maybe 25 mins from here, will give em a try first.
I'm pleased I'm not stuck with RecoProp, I don.t remember them being easy to deal with ;)

I know a couple of high end car restorers in the area that swear by Dave Mac.

Davemac or vibration free will both do what you need. Prob both about the same distance from you.
