sunvisor fixing

Post by sublimemike »

Hi all,

My e body hardtop had a new headliner fitted by the previous owner -it's a really good job so I don't want to pull it about. Only thing is the sunvisors went AWOL. I've picked a pair up and there is a triangular plate with three holes for the fixing with a plastic cover that clips over the plate. Guessing its bolts that secure it through the headlining but could be large screws. Anyone tell me what size bolts or screws and length so I don't have to pull the headlining away??

Also will need to get the securing clips for the tips - are they the same for all A,B & E bodies

:help: Thanks Mike

Mine are held on with 3 self-tappers and the end of the sun visors are secured in the mirror base. Not sure about E body's though.

Thanks Ade , Mick, seems a really simple thing to fit but I'm going completely unseen in fitting these up without pulling down the headliner and seeing the threads.
