seat cover question

Post by Mick »

I'm just fitting seat covers and they are held on by these little rings.
Just wondered if i should use these again or buy new and do i just use regular pliers to put them on.

You can reuse them if they don't break in the process. I found it a lot easier using the correct hog ring pliers.

Seeing as you are a tight northerner, a set of long nose pliers and patience and pinched fingers are the order of the day ;)

Hog ring pliers are around £15 and the rings are about £10 it makes the job a pleasure.

I've been looking at the pliers on ebay, there's about ten different types, 1 pair look just like long nose pliers.

If you need to loan some hog ring pliers I'll post my ones up to you and you can give them back to me at the Nats, then all you have to do is get some hog rings.......................

The hog ring pliers here on ebay are the same as the ones I have...............
