Charger less at the Nats

Post by Derek »

Looks like the Charger wont be at the Nats this year. first time ever without it,

Just can't work out what this strange bloody engine noise is.

If I can't find it soon I will have to take the daily.

Was going to take it and let some of you hear it to see what you thought, but could be doing damage all the way there and back.

You sure its not just a blown header gasket ? If its got the origional intake check the seal under the two bolts where the choke bowl is as well.

Ducan, I've tried that.

Rebel, I don't think it will come out in a recording.

Charger01, no sooty marks around headers.

John, what do you want for the lifters.

Noise has been there for a while now, it's driving me mad and stopping me from using the Charger as often as I would like.

Derek . I havn't got any sooty marks on mine but I know the drivers side on my car needs a new header gasket. They don't seem to last long. I have bought some copper ones which I will fit after the Nats. I can live with the ticking till then.

Bring it anyway, if it spews it's guts in the way it'll get towed to the Pod where every man and his dog will be on it, take a flyer on it and see what pans out, you never know ;)
I'm with Dunc on this......... if its gonna break you may as well be the one to break it :D

I also agree with the above.

If it breaks, what better a place to break it. Will be like a swarm of people ready to fix.

And if Dosnt.. Then happy days!
