oil seals and prop shaft UJ

oil seals and prop shaft UJ
After years of an oily garage floor below the Cape Town Cuda, I've decided to take action!
The pinion oil seal on the rear axle (7 1/4") needs replacing, as does the slightly worn prop shaft UJ. I assume these are standard American components and are thus obtainable from the usual suppliers, like American Autoparts, W-A-S-P, etc. Am I correct?
The guy who's going to press in the UJ for me said he could do the steering box oil seal while the car is up on the ramps---when I mentioned the almost irremovable Pitman arm, he wasn't fazed and said he had a hydraulic puller which would get it off. In that case I may as well go for it. However, as you'll see from the attached picture (of my spare box from a scrapped South African car), it's not an American steering box but an Australian Chrysler Valiant box--you Valiant guys will know the type. Where's the best place to get a replacement seal for this?

its just a mopar saginaw box like a US box
but
the case is cast iron and different shape
and the ballnut fits onto the screw inside, upside down to make it compatible with a sector shaft that meshes with the ballnut tapered teeth on the left hand side away from the chssis rail in a RHD car rather on the right hand side away from the chasis rail in a US LHD car
other than that its a mopar box that shares a multitude of components with US mopars (not pickups)(passenger cars only)
and
many chevys and fords
so if anton has found a seal for a US box in croydon
and that US box has the same thickness sector shaft
you are onto a good thing, the same seal will fit
if not its a case as he states of going and finding one
otherwise it is
australia
or
US
suppliers
and the cost of a seal kit for a manual box varies hugely
jims autoparts in the US always has them when jim isn't spending the millions he makes by charging double what everyone else does for the most insignificant parts
try local or Rockauto
firm-feel in the US can probably help as well
or punt an email to Ray at pentastar parts and restorations in Australia...
or just fill the box with grease...mines been like that for 10 years now

The Greater Knapweed near the Mugwort by the Buckthorn tree is dying
I would take the punt and get one in advance considering you should be able to get it at a reasonable price.
Part number 2127154 from the Aussie parts book, images below.
Ebay search indicates this is a valid US part number too.

As Dave said likely to be the same as the US LHD, have a look at the dimensions in the pic below from Rockauto for a '69 Dart.
Very similar to the Aussie power steering one by the dimensions! So this may not be US manual steering... I can not seem to tell.
Would be good if you can find the dimensions for the part number 2127154 somewhere.
Note the Timken part number 8659S and dimensions and see what you can find from a local bearing shop maybe even an on line bearing shop.

Has anybody got a pitman shaft in front of them or can remember, does it get larger beyond the splines as you go into the steering box?
On my spare box at the end of the splines is a peripheral groove and thereafter the shaft vanishes into the seal. But the diameter of the shaft between the splines and the groove is 1.125", measured on callipers. This differs from the shaft diameter of 1.247" mentioned on the Timken specification that VGVIP posted.
I've emailed Pentastar to see if they can give me some seal measurements.
I suppose I could get the old seal out of my spare box and take that to Orbic Bearings as Anton suggests. (At the same time, I'd see if the pitman shaft increases in diameter!) But if any of you guys already know......

Seems like the seal I posted before from rockauto is for powersteering then.
Just found this when searching on the part number I posted from the Aussie parts book....
