Big Bolt Pattern Rear Brakes

Post by Dave81 »

Well there is certainly a wealth of info out there on the net.

Problem is i can't find a difinative answer to my question.

I've bought the rear diff housing and BBP axles from Dr Diff. This is currently being hauled accross the states to one of Ron's containers.

From what i understand (please can someone confirm this for me), i require:

BBP Backing plates, the brake unit itself and the brake drum (10x2.5") ........anything else that i require?

As i havent got a 73 up Dart sat in a field around the corner has anyone found anyhwere that can supply the above kit i require (uk or abroad)?

I know i can get the brake drum from Rockauto etc, but can't find any of the other stuff?

Too much info.....brain hurting!

Thanks,

If you already have 10" brakes on your car, you will need drums, backing plates and a set of 2.5" wide shoes. The majority of your internals should fit. One bit that probably won't but can be modified is the bit that goes between the shoes with the flat spring on, it's part of the park brake.
