Missing cover

Post by mustangbooks »

Just looked under the car, and was a bit surprised to see my flywheel staring back at me! I guess I'm missing a cover... any ideas where to get one? no idea what's happened to mine

Just cut some wire mesh to bolt over it. Let some cool air in. But keep rocks out. ;)

You do need to shape it the same as the original plate (it's not flat) so that it does not catch the flex plate. But that is easily done.

How much for one o' them? I have a 318 with (I think) a 727 trans. The Vin says D34 anyway.

I need to work out what trans I have... I'm sure it was advertised as having a 727.

904 is more or less square with a bit of a corner gone 727 weird shape with a bit sticking out under the filler tube area
