New to the site and new to Mopar. Recently purchased this car here in the UK it has been sat for 30 years plus...

Spray job and look not ideal at the moment lol sorry about that hope it doesn't offend anyone.

Local youths broke into the storage and carried out some vandalism. Had to move it to an alternative place.

Any good UK contacts for Repair & Resto will be much apprciated.

Thanks

Thanks guys... yeah frustrating so say the least. I purchased this from a guy who's father owned it back in the day. It was built in the LA plant along with engine. I am only the third owner of this car. It hadn't moved for 40 years but started up 3rd turn once battery fitted and points where cleaned.

It has the silver special interior and in pretty good condition to be honest. It is completely stock with a 318 on board currently. I have been purchasing parts from NAPA and bringing back from the US ready for resto.

Its amazing how they stand the test of time if properly looked after or stored.

Are your plans to keep it stock? Would be a shame if the car lost its identity.

Well it was my initial intention to put on hood scoops which i found a set and bought in California. (paid way more than i should have to be honest) and put in a 440 which i have most of the parts..... But ...... TBH i think, as it is in such original condition i feel maybe full original restoration will be the way. I love the GTX look but it will never be one. Why be a pretender ??..

A question to the experts though... is the resale value best served as an original or a clone ??..

Sorry if this question has been asked many times before.

Do you want to keep it or move it on?
If you want to keep it in theinterim then do the car like YOU want it.

Big Block cars tend to make more money but a conversion is a lot of grief (I should know - I have done enough) and they use Bananarama! loads of gas!!!

Your call.
