Not helped by a downpour during rush hour. I think it put a lot of the Yank, and all of the street rodders, off from coming. No Andy Rob tonight either but his mate Paul turned up in his Hemi GTX....
...only I forgot to take a photo of it.
Still, once you have seen one Hemi GTX you have seen them all haven't you?

Yeah I figured you were probably out on the road somewhere. I was shocked when Paul turned up in the GTX considering there were puddles on the road and how black some of the clouds looked.

Yes it is. He only uses it as a street car now.

Ta,
Very cool car. I remember seeing it at North Weld in about '83? when Tim Cook had it. Frightened the life out of me when it started up..

I think Ricky did some serious work to the engine when he got it. Bored/Stroked BBC plus NOS.
Getting traction was tricky at first I beat him with my Challenger at York. He was spinning tyres in every gear.
When he did get traction at the Mopar Nats he twisted the driveshaft like an elastic band.

Didnt know that. I saw him snap the axle in his Classic Capri at the 'Nats a few years ago.
When Tim Cook had it, it had Enderle stack injection and was a 10 second car when that was very quick.

Yeah he upgraded the Consul Capri when he gave up using the '55 as a street/strip car. Didn't have much luck with parts there either.
