New Movie - Rush

Post by mopar_mark »

I got the chance to see the trailor for the film Rush today. Being released in Sept here in the US. So guess we will get the chance to see it a few months later.

Its an F1 based film around Nikki Lauda, James Hunt & directed by Ron Howard, looks to be a real good film.

I loved the old days of F1 & more so as a young lad, as remember seeing James Hunts early cars, as my uncle friends worked for Goodyear & provided Hesketh with their racing tyres.

A good plus also, is that Ron Howards generally produces good films

Hi Mark - Martin Brundle had a word with Ron Howard on the grid before the race started at Monaco today.... oops, yesterday... and he said the Premiere over here is Sept 2nd and on general release Sept 3rd in he UK.

Still a long way off tho...

Those were the days- when real men raced real cars.
I look forward to that movie thanks Mark!
Speaking of old skool racers, I caught a great show last night with Patrick Stewart chatting to Stirling Moss, leading up to Patrick driving the Vanwall. Great stuff!
No-one will believe you...

Some of it was filmed just around the corner from me at Blackbush aerodrome. The filmcrews were over there for quite a while last year. The set boys had made paddocks, pits and stands which all looked very convincing. Look forward to seeing the film :thumbright:
If i look confused...........i probably am.
