T40 torx problem

Fitting wilwood kit - hub to disc, 5 x t40 torx bolts. Requires 55ft/lbs torque.
Have now shattered 2 torx sockets - they go bang around 40ft/lbs. looking up the specs of a t40 it looks to be around 40 is the max ( surprise surprise)
Q - how the heck to get them to 55ft/lbs ??
Anyone got a super high strength t40 recommendation ?
At the moment its looking like 39ft/lbs and a ton of loctite !!

I'm pretty sure I have some for a impact gun.
Might be better use?

Proper hardcore stuff 3/4 inch socket type

More reading tells me that t40 torx ave a maximum 'torque' setting of 39 to 48 ftlbs.
Therefore i am ever gonna hit 55.
New plan is get a few good bits/ sockets, loads-a-loctite, 40 ftlbs. Which is pretty f- tight for a torx bolt....

I have some impact driver sockets but they are only 1/2" Drive...........

Cant find anything to suggest impact driver sockets are gonna resist my forces either. Also would feel bad breaking Wils snap-ons (same problem).
Kind offer chaps, but what I am going to do is either -
a) Hit toolstation and get a selection. Perform experiments to see when they break. Take a judgement if thats 'tight enough' and then buy a couple.
b) Go see the nice men at trident and get some proper bolts for the job. I cant see why it has these torx things anyway - it doesnt seem to be for clearance ?
Option b) sounds like a good idea anyway to be honest.

Now that sounds like a bet Wil. Might have to take you up on that. But I fear I would break your tools and take your money ! Here's the results of this evenings fun - I got to 40, then at 44 - bang !
Gonna go see the bolt men tomorrow at silverstone - stupid torx.

Well all I can say is you are not the only one with cheap what ever BFE country it came from,I too have broken the same exact ones and then spent the wedge to get the good ones,and then got my Wilwoods torqued just fine

Stand down chaps. Wil - you dont have to chance your snap-on for youtube glory. I am sorted.
I almost didnt post this - but what the heck - I'm not too proud. It was my error which has caused the expense and destruction. Long story short, the centre bolts were actually t45 NOT t40. No, I dont know how I didnt twig - tired, harrassed - whatever. What a bananarama!
Turns out once I used the t45bit it CAN take 55ftlbs...
Of course, as a side effect I now have a few borked bits and need to replace a couple of slightly chewed bolts, but progress is underway again.
Really cross with myself.
Might send Wil than £10 anyway by way of self-punishment....
PS - Did learn a few valuable lessons though - such as the torsional strength of various torx bits. So not a complete waste (looking for a bright side)

Some of the Wilwood stuff has the provision to safety wire the bolts, if yours has and you wanted to do it, I have the necessary wire and pliers you could borrow.
