340 manifold bolts

Post by Anonymous »

I have a passenger side 1968-70 340 manifold for my 360. two of the manifold to head bolts are quite specific in that they have a long shoulder (approx 2") before the threaded section. Can anyone supply me with a pair or know where i can source some?

Miles, I am sure they are tube NUTS that screw onto studs in the head mate, if you are not bothered about the length too much (they all do the job) I will have a look in my bits boxes, I am certain I have some.

I didn't click on the "bolt" bit. Yeah they often rust to the stud and the stud comes out of the block with them. :)

Hi chaps, Alex is right. They are a barrel nut that fit onto a stud. I was just about to order them from Mancini. However, if any of you guys have a pair that would be great. The part number of the manifold is 2863549 which puts the manifold as 1969-70 Barracuda/Dart.
Steve, not going for concourse but i got a pair of manifolds at areal good price and i dont want the hassle of headers. Also, imagine how much restriction the ancient 318 manifolds currently in place are, the port to gasket match is horrible too  ?
The face to face length is (or depth of the hole) is 70mm or whatever that is in inches which is specific to this manifold from what i've read.
