masking fluid

Post by gmopar59 »

Anyone used masking fluid instead of tape. I might try this on the fiddly bits of my grill. Does anyone know if it's suitable for rattle can paint?

Only used it on model aeroplanes but have sprayed them with car paint so should think it will be Ok. I remember having to put bits of paper on the fluid so you have something to grip to pull it off afterwards.

I used 3m pin-striping tape available in some very thin thicknesses

Thanks, masked it yesterday with 3M 3mm. Wasn't too bad. :thumbright:
