70 B Body rear glass

Post by Black Country Nailer »

Removed the chrome surround from the Bee's rear glass and the glass came away from the frame with the chrome , but only one side. Spent couple of hours getting the glass free and now need to put it back properly.

Looking at the workshop manual there is supposed to be a spacer dam and two rubber spacers which fit at the lower part of the opening. These are missing and obviously the wrong adhesive has been used in the past. Looks like regular black sealant has been used but this is cemented in type window.

Does anyone know what sealant/cement I should use and where I can get the spacers?
