Challenger outer door to glass weatherstrip seals. Are they all the same regarding how they fix? Took the remains of mine off last night and they just screw on with self tappers which seems a brilliant idea rather than horrid clips and special tools.

Just wondering if there is any year differences for fixings as my doors are probably not the original, (found some forest green under the yellow and white).

If you mean the 'fuzzies' that screw to the top edge of the door, I replaced mine and had to get them from Year One, part # P4198 - they come with the rear window ones as well, which I didn't need.

That is the one I mean, fuzzies with the chrome strip.

Six Pack Speedshop have a 4 piece set but they are too long to post, so will have to wait for the Nats.

Yeah, I had them posted from the States (arrived in a HUGE box), as I needed them fairly quickly while I had the doors apart at that time for painting.

I don't remember self tappers. I seem to remember they clipped on.

Think I have some original ones in my shed. I will have a look.

Definitely self-tappers (on the '73 at least!)

I've checked both sides and they are both the same, 9 holes for self tappers, an absolute joy to remove once the inner door trim panel is off.

If anyone has even half usable ones to keep me going to the Nats that would be good, or I might look to the states as there are some complete rubber kits on ebay for not bad money like this one.

Looked at the photo on the ebay seller site and the 70-71 fuzzies do look like they have clips not screws, mine are definitely screws.

Worth knowing that for a resto that there are so many differences, even between trims on doors.

They list a different trunk seal for late and early 73 models!!

That is correct, the early ones clipped and the later ones screwed on. You can screw on the early ones though, the clips are not difficult to remove and then just use self tappers - you'll want a screw with a flat head.

And yes the doors do differ from year to year. I think they are interchangeable but there are quite a few differences, some of the fixings changed (like the window up-stops, etc). Also the later doors inners had a much stiffer structure (71 onwards). But they all had the side impact beams

Couldn't look for the ones I had last night as I was out. But will try to remember over the weekend. I might have given them to Duncan.

My Chally is an early 72 car Matt that still uses a lot of trim stuff left over from
71 and that has screw on door glass seals.

I had a load of window and roof trim given to me off a 71 car and it was exactly the same as my 1970. Used some of it on my car that last time I re-built it as I damaged some of mine in a crash years ago as well as with just getting some of the damn stuff off.

OK I have had a look and it seems my collection of trim bits is much diminished.

All I have left for the doors is the two fuzzy strips for the INSIDE side of the glass that fix to the plastic door panel.

I also have the trim for the bottom edge of the rear window and one slightly damaged piece for along the drip rail on the passenger side.

I have taken the plunge and ordered that complete 17 piece rubber kit from Texas. I will report on what it is like when it arrives. Whole lot came in at £219 posted which seemed good as it is all the door seals, and trunk seal.
